perfect match.

tea tarik and roti telor.

tea tarik is directly translated in english as pulled tea, and roti telor literally means bread with egg.

i love watching those guys that prepares the tea tarik and the roti telor. A combimation of showmanship and experience are both needed to prepare this perfect match.

for the tea tarik, one should have the skill to drag a long steam of steaming hot tea well over their heads to create those lovely foam on top of the tea, a scene that never ceases to amaze me. my preference is kurang manis which means not so sweet.

and for the roti telor, the dough should be kneaded, flipped and tossed to create a large thin layer before placing on a hot plate and then adding the to cteate a pancake like bread.

perfect for mid-afternoon snacks.

cheers!
